Live Poker in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world. Unsurprisingly, there is also much lively poker action to be found. The main game is limit hold'em, though limit games of all sorts can be found and so can no limit hold'em games. The one thing lacking in Vegas is pot limit Omaha. It's generally only found when a major tournament is being played in Vegas. Nevertheless, if you plan to visit Vegas, assuredly you will find a poker game. Since there are quite a few casinos that carry hold'em, I will only mention a couple:
Bellagio
3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South
Las Vegas, NV 89109
1-888-987-6667
When it comes to poker in Vegas, the Bellagio is king. In
addition to numerous limit games ranging from $4-8 to $80-$160,
they host a weekly $500 No-Limit tournament on Fridays. They
also have two daily no-limit hold'em games, one with blinds of
$1-2 and the other with blinds of $10-$20.
Binion's
128 East Fremont
Las Vegas, NV 89101
1-800-622-6468
The World Series of Poker is located at this smaller casino. This place has had financial difficulties and recently shut down. However, Harrah's bought it and the World Series of Poker will continue to be hosted here. What, if any, changes to this casino due to the Harrah's deal remain to be seen.
Mirage
3400 Las Vegas Blvd South
Las Vegas, NV 89109
1-800-374-9000
The Mirage has a 24 table poker room. Many people migrate here if the Bellagio is too busy or just want a change of pace. You'll generally find limit games from $4-$8 to $20-$40.
Monte
Carlo
3770 Las Vegas Blvd
Las Vegas, NV 89109
1-800-311-8999
The Monte Carlo spreads a lot of low limit hold'em games (from $1-2 to $4-$8). They also spread a No-Limit game (blinds of $2-$5) on Saturday nights.
