Poker.com Review and Bonus Code
Updated March 15, 2006

Overview
Poker.com is a new poker room that is geared for
lower-stakes players. I consider it one of the better sites out
there for someone interested in playing no-limit games with
blinds of $.25-$.50 or lower. Almost all of the games played are
low-stakes games, and no-limit is currently much more popular
than fixed-limit. They have many daily freerolls which would
interest a lower-stakes player. Since
Poker.com is such a new poker room, it is currently very
small and there are few games played for medium or higher
stakes. Anyone interested in playing in games with stakes of
$2-$4 or higher should probably look elsewhere for now.
Software
Poker.com's software is slightly different from most poker
sites. First, their software makes it difficult to multi-table.
This might actually be a good thing because poker rooms that
effectively limit the number of games people can play makes the
games software (read
Poker Ecosystems for the reason why this is the case). The
software also has a cool feature that displays the percentage
chance players have of winning when they go all-in.
Bonuses
50% Deposit Bonus or $100. free on deposits of $200. Enter
the deposit bonus "First50" in the cashier when making your
initial deposit. You need to earn 150 comp points for each $1 of
bonus. This bonus is paid in one lump sum when you have
completed the bonus requirements for your deposit. Please note
that
Poker.com advertises a 50% up to $200 bonus on their site.
However, this is misleading because they mean the bonus is 50%
of your deposit amount up to a deposit amount of $200.
Promotions
Poker.com's freerolls make it one of the best sites
available for a micro-limit player who wants to play the
occasional multi-table tournament. The prize pools of the
freerolls are about the same as a typical $1, $3, or maybe even
$5 buy-in multi-table tournament, which is what a micro-limit
player typically plays.
20,000 Weekly Freeroll every Sunday at 14:00 EST for players that have earned at least 2000 comp points in the previous 7 days.
$4,000 Freeroll on Mondays and Wednesdays nights at 18:00 EST for players earning 1500 comp points in the previous 7 days.
$500. Daily for all first time depositors. They will give you a coupon good for 7 days from your initial deposit date.
$100. Freeroll every 3 hours for all members.
Refer A Friend bonus of $50. which is standard
Cashouts
With the exception of credit card deposits,
Poker.com has instant withdrawals for the deposit method you
chose up to the amount you deposited. So if you deposit $100 via
Neteller, you can withdraw up to $100 via Neteller instantly.
However, for amounts greater than your deposit (i.e. winnings),
withdrawals may take several days.
Game Information
They show the average pot and the average flop percentage, gotta
like that.
Competition
The competition is slightly softer than at most sites. Most of
the games are played for low stakes, so you would not expect the
competition to be that difficult anyway.
Customer Service
Customer support is done via email. Customer service reps tend
to answer emails very quickly.
